Windows Server 2003 Install Raid Driver Without Floppy
Michael (LOM) wrote: So, low and behold we need to get beyond the Floppy Search requirement when installing the OS/ Raid Drivers. How do we get around it without having a floppy. It asks and dies after pressing F6? Crazy that we don't, but haven't had to use one for about 5 years now. Not to be 'that' guy but, yeah, Server 2003 is so 13 years ago why would it look for drivers on a floppy disk?

With the smart a$$ comments aside, sometimes you can use a usb floppy drive (I have one for just these circumstances) to load the drivers. Cutting Plotter Mh721 Drivers on this page. But I found it is highly dependent on the bios in the target computer. Once you cross the vista/win7/2008 kernel you can load the F6 drivers from a usb flash drive.
Produce the RAID drivers floppy required for the Windows 2003 installation. The Sun-supplied hard disk drives for the X2270 are shipped without a RAID configuration. This section provides steps for creating a floppy diskette that contains the RAID driver required during the Windows Server 2003 installation. Archived from groups: microsoft.public. Cnccom Fanuc Program. win2000.setup (More info?) I have a Promise FastTrack TX2200 RAID SATA controller in my PC that I want to use the drives connected to it for my Boot Drive. Though the IBM Server box that I have does not have a floppy. The Win2003 OS CD does not have a built in.
